A
woman was sitting in the airport, waiting for her boarding time. Feeling bored,
she opened her bag, took a newly bought
book, and read it.
Without
noticing a sitting man next to her, she kept reading and eating cookies from a
cooky bag between her and the man. Each time she took one cooky, the man also
took one. Finally, still trying to concentrate reading, she said in her heart,
“What is he doing anyway, this is my cookies. Eat it without asking
permission?? Just calm down... be patient... Luckily I’m a good lady, if not, I
might have punched his face.”
Letting
the “cooky thief” in action, she tried to restrain herself from being angry,
till the boarding call came.
After
finding her seat, the woman wanted to continue her reading. When she opened her
bag, she was startled. Held her breath, saw her own cooky bag, and said, “If
these are my cookies, then who has the cookies I’ve eaten?”
How
embarrassed she was. She just realized that she was the wrong one the whole time,
she has eaten cookies which didn’t belong to her. But, it was too late... she
couldn’t ask for apology to that person.
Note:
We
often judge people negatively, make a wrong prejudice, and even hate them
without seeing our own mistakes. We should learn to be more humble, see our
lives first before seeing others’.
